En moltes de les grans capitals africanes s\u2019hi est\u00e0 consolidant una generaci\u00f3 que al voltant de la\u00a0<strong>cultura<\/strong>, i a trav\u00e9s de la\u00a0<strong>creaci\u00f3<\/strong>\u00a0i del\u00a0<strong>disseny<\/strong>, reivindica el seu dret a construir-se en llibertat, sense tuteles externes i contra els estereotips projectats des d\u2019Occident.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Una nova generaci\u00f3 de creadors<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00ab<\/strong><em>Making Africa<\/em>\u00bb mostra els projectes d\u2019<strong>artistes i dissenyadors africans o de proced\u00e8ncia africana\u00a0<\/strong>que es dirigeixen a una audi\u00e8ncia global i proporcionen al m\u00f3n una nova perspectiva del seu continent. Sovint treballen en diverses disciplines alhora i trenquen amb les definicions convencionals de disseny, art, fotografia, arquitectura i cinema.<\/p>\n<p>Els\u00a0<strong>nous mitjans<\/strong>\u00a0hi tenen un paper central i s\u00f3n els que al comen\u00e7ament van fer possible aquest canvi de perspectiva. Realitzades sovint per col\u00b7lectius i en un context urb\u00e0,\u00a0<strong>les obres de\u00a0<strong>\u00ab<\/strong><em>Making Africa<\/em>\u00bb connecten la revoluci\u00f3 digital amb l\u2019exist\u00e8ncia anal\u00f2gica.<\/strong>\u00a0Se centren m\u00e9s en el proc\u00e9s que no pas en el resultat. Interpreten els materials d\u2019una manera radicalment nova. Assumeixen la seva responsabilitat en relaci\u00f3 amb la societat i no en relaci\u00f3 amb el mercat i fan previsions atrevides respecte al futur.<\/p>\n<p>Di\u00e0leg entre disciplines art\u00edstiques diverses<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00ab<\/strong><em>Making Africa<\/em>\u00bb\u00a0mostra treballs d\u2019\u00e0mbits creatius diversos:\u00a0<strong>disseny d\u2019objectes i mobiliari, arts gr\u00e0fiques, il\u00b7lustraci\u00f3, moda, arquitectura, urbanisme, art, artesania, cinema, fotografia<\/strong>, a m\u00e9s d\u2019enfocaments digitals i anal\u00f2gics.<\/p>\n<p>Concebuda per aportar una nova visi\u00f3 sobre el disseny afric\u00e0 contemporani,\u00a0<strong>\u00ab<\/strong><em>Making Africa<\/em>\u00bb\u00a0presenta obres com les ulleres escultura de l\u2019artista keny\u00e0\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ckabiruart.daportfolio.com\/\">Cyrus Kabiru<\/a><\/strong>, els mobles del mali\u00e0\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/designnetworkafrica.org\/people\/diallo-design\/\">Cheick Diallo<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0i les fotografies del mo\u00e7ambiqu\u00e8s<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mariomacilau.com\/\">\u00a0<strong>M\u00e1rio Macilau<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0i el nigeri\u00e0\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/J._D._%27Okhai_Ojeikere\">J.D. &#8220;Okhai Ojeikere<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;arquitectura de<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kere-architecture.com\/\">Francis K\u00e9r\u00e9<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.adjaye.com\/\">David Adjaye<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>i<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nleworks.com\/\">Kunle Adeyemi<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0o\u00a0les extraordin\u00e0ries maquetes urbanes de\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/Bodys-Isek-Kingelez\/84079943051?sk=timeline&amp;ref=page_internal\">Bodys Isek Kingelez<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0i l\u2019art d\u2019animaci\u00f3 de\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Robin_Rhode\">Robin Rhode<\/a><\/strong>, un sud-afric\u00e0 establert a Berl\u00edn, estan presents a la mostra.<\/p>\n<p>Totes les peces presentades se sustenten en una recerca que aborda q\u00fcestions de la cultura material i l\u2019est\u00e8tica quotidiana; en resum, q\u00fcestions de disseny. Els objectes mostren que a l&#8217; \u00c0frica el disseny s\u2019ent\u00e9n d\u2019una manera molt m\u00e9s inclusiva que a les societats occidentals i s\u00f3n la prova que aquesta concepci\u00f3 pot generar enfocaments innovadors.<\/p>\n<p>De l\u2019\u00e8poca postcolonial a les obres de joves artistes del present<\/p>\n<p>Als anys 1960, fot\u00f2grafs com\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.seydoukeitaphotographer.com\/\">Seydou Keita<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0i\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Malick_Sidib%C3%A9\">Malick Sidib\u00e9<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0o la revista sud-africana\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Drum_(South_African_magazine)\"><em>Drum<\/em><\/a>\u00a0van mostrar un continent m\u00e9s enll\u00e0 de les guerres, les crisis i les cat\u00e0strofes. L\u2019arquitectura produ\u00efda durant aquests primers anys d\u2019independ\u00e8ncia tamb\u00e9 personifica el sorgiment d\u2019una nova era de confian\u00e7a de l&#8217;\u00c0frica en si mateixa que en gran part es va dissipar en les d\u00e8cades seg\u00fcents. Aquests documents hist\u00f2rics s\u2019emparellen al llarg de l\u2019exposici\u00f3 amb les obres contempor\u00e0nies; es mostra aix\u00ed com les joves generacions les han tingut sovint com a refer\u00e8ncia conscient i han creat un vincle amb el sentiment positiu d\u2019aquesta \u00e8poca passada.<\/p>\n<p>El<em>\u00a0making of<\/em>\u00a0de \u00ab<em>Making Africa<\/em>\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Un dels signes distintius de l\u2019exposici\u00f3 \u00e9s el seu propi proc\u00e9s de desenvolupament. Durant un per\u00edode de recerca de dos anys, es van dur a terme nombroses\u00a0<strong>trobades i entrevistes amb grups d\u2019experts a les principals ciutats africanes<\/strong>, com Lagos, Dakar, Ciutat del Cap, el Caire i Nairobi. En aquestes sessions es van consultar uns 70 dissenyadors, artistes, investigadors, arquitectes, galeristes i curadors. En el proc\u00e9s es va recopilar un material de recerca prim\u00e0ria sobre disseny afric\u00e0 \u00fanic, que recolza i enriqueix l\u2019exposici\u00f3 i el cat\u00e0leg que l\u2019acompanya.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/journal.sva.edu\/issues\/2015spring\/qaamelieKlein.html\">Amelie Klein<\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>especialista en disseny contemporani del Vitra Design Museum, n\u2019\u00e9s la comiss\u00e0ria i\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Okwui_Enwezor\">Okwui Enwezor<\/a><\/strong>, director de la Haus der Kunst de Munic i comissari de la 56a Biennal de Ven\u00e8cia (2015) , n\u2019\u00e9s el comissari consultor.
